Media Intern
DESCRIPTION
Charles River Rugby Football Club, an established, local rugby club, is seeking a media intern for the Fall
2018 season. We are looking for someone with experience, and/or interest, in sports photography and
video.
We are looking to make this position as beneficial to the intern as possible. They will work with a great
organization that cares about the sport and culture of rugby, and a club that is unique in Boston in
having both men’s and women’s teams.
The intern will have creative freedom in designing and executing projects. The internship will be unpaid,
but we are a certified 501c3 non-profit, and can work with your school to provide college credit if
desired. We’re looking for a collaborative, enthusiastic intern with strong communication skills and a
great eye for detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Photograph 2 matches per team during the fall season (total of 4 matches).
Design, shoot and produce a team promo video
Photograph 2 practices during the fall season
Edit media in a timely manner, meeting deadlines with little supervision
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous photo/video experience required
Experience shooting fast paced subjects, athletic events, recreation portraits, or other related
events preferred
Access to necessary equipment and software
Knowledge of photo and video editing software (Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere/FCP X, etc.)
Familiarity/experience with capturing photo and video for promotional content a plus
Knowledge of rugby a huge plus
Position will require some weeknight and Saturday availability
SEASON INFORMATION
Our season runs from Sept. 8 – Nov. 12. We have matches every weekend around midday. Home games
are played in South Boston. Travel to away games is not required. Our game day field is accessible by
public transportation. We practice 2 nights a week, Tuesday and Thursday from 8-10pm. The intern will
be responsible for transportation to/from practices and matches. Further schedule details can be
provided on interest.
Majors
Photography, Film/Video Production, Arts, Communications, Marketing, or other related field
