Congratulations to the Charles River Rugby Lady Rats on Ten Years

We are honoring our Women’s Rat Presidents over the last 10 years in this newsletter leading up to our 10th anniversary in the fall.

Kristen Park Hopson

Kristen Park Hopson

Kristen Park Hopson: 2005-2008
Founder of the club way back in the day, KP helped start the growth of Charles River Women from the initial small but hopelessly dedicated team to what it is today. She also can rock the hell out of an 80’s prom dress.

Dana Gullick

Dana Gullick

Dana Gullick: 2008-2010
With legs and arms for days, a second row as long as they come. Presiding over the eboard for three years, you couldn’t throw a dead cat without hitting something Dana had her hand in planning.

Lisa Natalicchio

Lisa Natalicchio

Lisa Natalicchio: 2010-2011
Natty held many positions on the women’s E-board but her strength lay in president. With her out of the box fundraising ideas (Cash for Gold) and full sentence talking on the field, we can’t help but smile and remember the legend of Natty both on and off the pitch.

Rachel Gaines

Rachel Gaines

Rachel Gaines: 2011
Holding the presidency for a year before retiring from rugby due to injuries, Gaines always used her head. She was the first to introduce us to the idea of bringing on current coach, Brian – an idea and ultimate decision that started the incline from a D3 competitive Team to a fierce D2 Championship team.

Whitney McCoy

Whitney McCoy

Whitney McCoy: 2012 – Current
Now in her third term, Whitney initially vowed to take the club to another level and this year she successfully announced that Charles River officially became a 501-c3 organization. A status that will open many doors for the club moving forward.

All 5 of these ladies have had a huge impact in the success of Charles River Rugby and the club wouldn’t be where it is without them. We raise our tiny little rat arms to you and salute your fabulousness.
